Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary :

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of a professional catering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service within the on-site Catering Project. The role supports the promotion and continuous improvement of service standards while maintaining compliance with Trust policies and statutory regulations. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong operational oversight and team management skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all catering operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs to deliver personalized catering experiences.
  • Manage and supervise a team of Waiters, Chefs, and Catering Assistants in daily catering operations.
  • Coordinate shift rotations to ensure adequate staffing and full operational coverage at all times.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring all necessary equipment and ingredients are available for events.
  • Supervise and train catering staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes efficiency and high service standards.
  • Create detailed event timelines and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Implement and uphold food safety and hygiene standards, conducting regular inspections of food preparation areas.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery during events.
  • Assist in organizing events, including preparation of equipment and venue setup as directed by the Catering Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience as a Catering Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Food Safety HACCP certification.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
