Job Description
We are seeking a Certified NACE Level III Painting QC Inspector with strong experience in tank lining and protective coating works in the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting surface preparation, coating, and tank lining painting activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect surface preparation, blasting, andย painting works for tank lining in oil & gas facilities.
- Monitor coating application for storage tanks, pipelines, and industrial structures.
- Ensure painting and coating activities comply with project specifications, ITPs, and international standards.
- Verify surface cleanliness, surface profile, and environmental conditions before coating application.
- Conduct inspection for internal tank lining coatings and protective systems.
- Measure and record coating thickness (DFT), adhesion tests, and curing conditions.
- Witness holiday testing and other coating inspection tests for tank lining works.
- Review and verify method statements, technical procedures, and quality plans related to painting works.
- Prepare daily inspection reports, QC documentation, and quality records.
- Identify and report non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and client representatives during inspections.
- Ensure all inspection records and documentation are properly maintained.
Requirements
- Certifiedย NACE Level IIIย Inspector (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in painting and coating inspection
- Proven experience in tank lining painting works in Oil & Gas projects
- Knowledge of coating inspection standards, blasting, and protective coatings
- Experience in tank internal lining, corrosion protection, and coating systems preferred
- Qatar experience preferred for local candidates
